Mitral Valve Repair Surgery

Greetings & Happy 2010
My 45 year old friend may need to have mitral valve repair surgery, can anyone kindly recommend a well qualified cardiologist that specializes in mitral valve repair surgery in the US? My friend and I reside in California but are willing to travel within US for proper care. Thank you for your assistance.

I didn't think mitral was so unique.I talked to a lady in my house today(51)who has that,as well as my daughter(52) too.The "lady" is an extremely smart RN....and says she could have been an MD.She supervises a 50 person company,and I feel she could easily run Cornell,where she did work. The last time I was in the Bay area,all the sailors were kissing the girls in the streets. Good luck ... Bill
