missing sync problem

hi guys i have a prob. with missing sync.what happens is that after the sync is completed the message"sync completed doesnt appear"it looks like a stupid problem but it could prompt worst problems later,does anyone know anything?

This has happened to me. I made sure it was active, I still didn't see it in my systray. So, I tried to hotsync and there is was.

Now one thing you want to check. With the Hotsync is the systray, right click on the systray icon. Go to Setup and click on it to open it up. When the setup is open, go to the General tab, make sure the "Always available (put in Startup folder)" is clicked. Click on Apply, and then OK.

There are times that you may have restart your hotsync application. Nailing down when this happens may be difficult to pinpoint. Sometimes it could happen if the hotsync process was interrupted. I would not be alarmed if you had to do this sometimes. Just follow the steps I outlined here.

If you run into a constant problem with your hotsync, you could uninstall your palm desktop software, restart your computer, and reinstall it. Follow the instructions. This could be one resolution.

hi,sorry but i couldnt understand what u told me,where do i look for the "systray" ?,i mean the only problem is the dialog of "sync completed" doesnt appear when using Missing sync,i tried looking at Hotsync options but it doesnt work(i think it is because the Missing Sync app disabled it)

can u explain me a lil more please

after you posted I went back and reread your original post. Guess I wasn't understanding correctly. I apologize.
OK, about your initial question....I rarely get "sync completed" message either. The only time I would be notified about HotSync issues was if there was a problem during the HotSync problem.

However you can always look at your HotSync log to get a complete run down on what took place during the HotSync.

Also, the Systray is the area in the right corner of your desktop where your time is displayed.

Hey PR,
The dialog only appears if there is something significant in the log. If all goes well (everything syncs OK), the dialog does not appear. That is very normal.
