Missing christmas movies

When looking through TV listings im disappointed to see LOARAB of christmassy style films are missing

These include:
Home Alone 1
Cool Runnings

Anybody think of anymore??
 
White Christmas - the original and best - it's a travesty that it's not included!

Meet Me in St Louis

It's a Wondeful Life - fortunately I've downloaded that one!
 
The biggest tragedy is that they are showing Scrooge with Alistair Sim this afternoon on 5. This is a fantastic film really creepy.

However it is the crap colourised version which looses all it's feeling and drama thatis present in the Black and White version. I do have the B&W version on VHS so I'll probably watch that later.

Somebody mentioned on another thread that the Patrick Stewart version is also on tonight (C4) - that is a great version of Christmas Carol.
 
Never liked White Christmas as much as Holiday Inn where the song originally comes from - it always seems to me to be a rush job to cash in on the song (albeit 12 years after Holiday Inn) even though it was the biggest selling film of 1954.

Interestingly Fred Astair, who was in Holiday Inn, turned down the part played by Danny Kaye in White Christmas after reading the script.
 
Wow, you're certainly a mine of information - and I'm not being sarcastic! :) I'd forgotten about Holiday Inn, but then I don't think I've ever watched it all the way through. And I didn't know about Fred turning down the Danny Kaye part either, so I've learned something new today. :):)
 
Thanks - I certainly have a mind for retaing obscure things - it was something I read years ago and I just checked Wikipedia, not necessarily the best source but it did confirm what I had remembered.

I didn't know that after Astair turned down the part they offered it to Donald O'Connor, who was in Singing In The Rain, and he declined as well. So I've learnt something today as well.
 
Well I'm glad it was not just me,I have searched high and low for White Christmas as it has been part of my life since I was born and to not have it this year,well it is like something huge is missing!
