Go into Sat menu and check the transponders. Are you getting them all? Or just the odd ones, even ones?

re check it indicates no switch present. how do i check transponders and whick one should i be on. problem on all receivers. after my 1st post i checked each cable coming from the dish direct to receiver 1 cable i had allchannels the other 1 no signal at all, do the lnb go bad and are they available from bell or do u have to buy a complete dish. tks for the help

Sounds like you have been busy troubleshooting....lol

If, as you say you have bypassed the switch and 1 line is OK the other is bad you are looking at either the cable feeding the bad side of the LNBF or the LNBF itself.

If you can swap over the cables at the LNBF, you can prove which of these it is.

If it's cable / Connectors, then you might be able to fix it yourself, if its the LNBF, you will need a new one.

Express Vu do sell them but they charge an arm and a leg, look on e-bay or try a small local Satellite store, with all the interest in FTA's nowadays, things like LNBF's are much cheaper locally.

Try to take yours with you, there are 2 different fittings on Express Vu Dish's for LNBF's, the older ones were a rectangular shape the new ones are a D shape.

tks for the help nimiq 1 ichanged both cables so i dont think thats it looks the lnb is bad u have any idea what bell charges for it or what i might pay aftermarket tks again

Bell charge about $75. Which is a rip off.

I know a small store pretty local to me where a used one is $15, new for $30.

I would still swap over the cables at the LNBF just to be sure.

Top right of the page where it says Private Messages.

You should find lots of Satelitte stores in Ottawa.
