Missing 2003 Ford f150 Part?

The other day my brother and I were working on his truck, and I foind this piece just laying underneath the hood, next to the engine. It wasnt attached to anything, just laying there. Could anybody please help me, and tell me what this goes to. Look at the pics. This is a 2003 Ford f150 v8, 4.6L. Thanks!

Michael is right. The battery tray has that, with a long nail type looking thing. If the battery is smaller than the tray, that piece is used to hold it in place.
