An Amber Alert has been issued for 2-year-old Isaiah Perez after police say he was taken from the scene of a double homicide Sunday morning in Johnston, R.I.

An Amber Alert for a 2-year-old boy missing from the scene of a double homicide is still underway with authorities’ announcing their search still on for a 22-year-old suspect in the case.
Isaiah Perez has been missing from a Johnston, R.I. home since 5:20 a.m. Sunday where two people were found dead, according to an Amber Alert and local and state police.
Authorities believe 22-year-old Malcolm Crowell of Providence, R.I., fled the scene of the crime, taking Isaiah with him.

A man arrested around 12:30 p.m. in Fall River, Mass. was misidentified by a state police spokesman as the suspect wanted in the boy's disappearance, as WPRI reported at the time.
Authorities have since retracted that suspect's arrest, telling the TV station that the suspect taken into custody is not believed to be involved in the child's abduction.
It wasn't immediately clear who was arrested. An updated Amber Alert later reported authorities seeking a second suspect in the case.

Request for an updated comment from local authorities said to be handling the case was not immediately returned to the Daily News.
Isaiah was previously reported by WPRI to have lived with the two victims found inside the home on Oaktree Drive.
Police say Crowell had a link to the boy, but they wouldn't elaborate until the child is found safe.

"Hopefully we can answer a lot more questions once we get Mr. Crowell here," Johnston Deputy Police Chief Daniel Parrillo told The Associated Press before his reported arrest. "We are starting to talk to family members right now to determine what the relationship with the boy is, but we have not pinpointed that. What he was doing there, we have no idea."
Few details and clues have been released to the public with local authorities in R.I. telling the Daily News just after noon that they're still working to put the pieces of the puzzle together.
That was the case for the child's photo, which wasn't obtained and published by the Amber Alert system until 2:30 p.m., upsetting at least one missing children organization in contact with the News.
