I've missed my period for 2 months in a row now. I also took 2 at-home HCG test(1st response early detections) 2 weeks apart and they were both negative. The 2nd one being after i woke up so should be pretty accurate. Last month something happened in my family and I was also stressed out about studying for finals at my college(I'm 18 btw). I lost 6-8 pounds just from last month. I read that excessive weight loss can cause your period to stop coming, is 6-8 lbs considered excessive? My 2nd period is supposed to come on the 18th of this month, today is the 14th. But I feel no breast tenderness or whatsoever that usually would come about 1 week before my period. I gained about 2 lbs back this month but I'm still not getting my period. I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant, but I would just like to know what could be another cause for this if not I'd go take a blood test to 100% make sure that I'm not pregnant then to a gynecologist because I've read that it could be my period is irregular that I might need to take some drugs to regulate my hormones level?
I'm around 5'3 to 5'4 and right now I'm about 93 pounds. I was around 98-100 before.
I've had irregular periods regularly(but so rarely to miss 2 in a row). The last period that I had before the 2 that I'm missing right now came after a month which I did not have a period.
I didn't take any medication. But my boyfriend did use a condom and we checked after, the condom was not ripped or anything. Just wondering, how long would it take for blood results to come back?
