Minor physical damage to Sprint HTC Touch Pro that was purchased from Craigslist?

I hope the title explains the majority of it. But to go into a little more detail:

I've had my phone for about 9 months. I dropped it about a week ago while it was in its protective faceplate while nestled in its belt-loop cover. Apparently, I hit it in the right spot. There is now chip above the "volume up" button. I mean, literally, a piece is missing and I can see a small light radiating from the side of the phone. The button catches when I slide the phone closed and I have to pop it into place--but with little force.

My question: how can I fix this? Will Sprint be able to replace it if I call it in? I did purchase it from Craigslist and Sprint is aware that I have it. I bought it refurbished. Do I stand a chance with Sprint or should I take it in to a repair shop?

Any tips or advice would help. Any place I could start to fix my phone. Thanks for reading!!
