Minor frostbite swells.

Anybody know a remedy or something to help the swelling go down faster? 'Cause I really don't want to go back to school with poofy eyelids. I ask because I don't know if frostbite swells act differently than burn or injury induced swelling. Any help would be appreciated. If you wanna know the story here it is.

Dad: Are you serious? You're getting in my sidecar with THAT on!?
Me: Yeah, a down jacket, a shirt, long underwear (full body), a ski mask, half coverage goggles, jeans, what could go wrong?
Dad: Okay, if you're sure. But I have some full coverage goggles and wind breaking shin guards here if you change your mind.
Me: No, I'll be fine.

I get in the sidecar, he starts going 60, my goggles freeze cause the snow keeps hitting them. I lose feeling in my eyelids, part of my legs, and my right hand.

Me: Can we pull over for a minute?
Dad: You bet your ass we can't!
Me: Grumbles...

We arrive at my place, he drops me off, and tells me to call him if I need some extra heating. Then he leaves laughing. I attempt to throw a rock at him, but I can't hold the rock. So I go back inside and find that I have severe swelling all up and down my legs, my right hand is a plum, and my eyes are little apples.

What is a sidecar? And by the sounds of it it is some unprotected vehicle you were riding in the winter. I'm sorry, but on this one I'm just going to laugh at you.

I don't know anything for frost bite, maybe some aloe vera could help? At least you learned one important lesson in life.

A sidecar is one of those little seats attatched to the side of a motorcycle so you can take a passenger. A car attatched to the side... side car... get it?
And as for the frostbite....
HA HA HA HA HA!

Wait, that's mean, and not like me at all. But I don't have any advice for you. Sorry man.

Soak mullein flowers in olive oil for fifteen minutes and apply to frostbitten area.

Apply garlic oil to the infected area to prevent or help heal infection.

Drink lobelia extract in water for pain.

NEVER rub the frostbiten area, as it may cause damage to the nerves. Give them room temperature water and set them near a fireplace.

Consult a physician for serious cases of frostbite.

Thanks for that Moon, but popping swells on my eyelids sounds like a bad idea. I did pop the ones on my legs, then I treated the resulting wounds accordingly. Works well. I'm not sure if the aloe helped my eyelids heal though. But it did make them somewhat warmer. Thanks.
