Hey guys, any help is appreciated
Next year I wish to study a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining). I have just read, however, that in order to work in QLD and WA, I must pass a pre-employment medical which measures hearing. I have a severe hearing loss which I sustained at birth, and yet with my hearing aids in I can hear virtually as well as anyone else. I have been through 12 years at a regular school, and I am a regular teenager with regular friends. In other words, I dont feel as though my hearing loss would affect adversely, in any way, my ability to work in the mines. Is there any chance of me passing this medical?
