I am having a minimally invasive fusion on L-4/L-5. They are using a device called an aspen spinous process hardware and cadaver bone for fusion. Has anyone had this done? Even just minimally fused anything I can expect? Doc says I can go back to work in 2-4 weeks (I'm a teacher) with a back brace for 2-3 months. He also told me I'd probably be in less pain after the fusion than I am in now? i have had 6 endoscopic discetomey's, one natural fusion on L3-L-4. And now I have Spondy type 3 grade 2-3. I also have drop foot in the right leg from the first discotmey. I have gone over the posts above but, not sure how this one compares to the other types of fusion. Mine is hopefully getting done on 27 July. I hope it's been pushed back a couple of times now.
