My husband will be back in some days from a 15-month deployment. I would like him to feel as comfortable as possible so that he could readjust easily. I would like to ask for some advice from military spouses who have been through the post-deployment period. What can I do to make my spouse feel good? What activities should we do? I would like to do so many things but maybe he just wants to rest? What did your spouse want to do when he or she returned? Should I avoid asking any questions about the details of his time spent in the war zone? I would like him to know I support him and I try to understand what he had to go through.
Wow, all the answers have been so helpful. This is our first deployment. I guess you've figured that though. We have a baby too so I'm sure he'd like to spend time with him in the first place. I will not pressure him. Just like all of you suggested, I'll let him decide on what he wants to do. Thank you guys!
