if you're really interested in the military and don't mind 2 weeks of training rather than laid back rappelling and leadership exercises then enlist in the naval sea cadet corps and go to recruit training over the summer
it can be fun but you have to remember work before play
there are benefits for when you enlist like you come into the military a pay grade above everyone else if you reach E-3 in the sea cadets
its kind of like jrotc on steroids and they have advance trainings that show you what its like both in training and working in almost every military job you can think of
there is a recruit training almost everywhere and you would probably go to the one in VA
iv flown from MD to CA to train for 4 weeks in Land Nav and then to see what sea bee training is like
and were not trying to pretend we are the military its just we prepare for the military if you want to join by learning basic military skills like marching before you join
