As fas as I know either the basic or advance is counted as the basic military. Now different places are implementing whatever the hell they want to make it so hard for us to ride. Look up what DOD requires.
In some bases they want you to do the basic, the advanced, the simulator class and if you ride sport bike then you have to completed the sport riders course. I ride with out them classes. It is so bad, even in my base if you plan on buying a motorcycle, you must tell the 1st field grade officer about it. Is not like asking for permission but so they know of your intentions. They say that your medical will be denied if something happens and so on if you are not in compliance but they can't do it. By law if something happens you are entitled that coverage.
You know, it is all to cover their asses. That's why they make shit up as they go. As long as you are in complience with DOD. I just don't ride to work, is not worth it. Besides I always wear leathers and as far as I know ACU's don't provide any protection.
