Military question, for the marines, sniper question.?

I asked a question like this earlier, but I guess I didn't ask it in the right way, I'll try again. My question is, am I allowed to train with different schools while not working? Like if I have leave or something for x amount of time, and I want to atend something, such as sniper school, would I be allowed to do this, or is there anything like this? Just trying to figure things out, thanks everyone.
 
Are you serious?

You can't just walk into a school as you please.

School slots are for those who need them, not for those who just want to try new things. The military is not a game.
