Right guys i am 16 at the moment and have been thinking about my options within life, i have decided to get within the military so i have narrowed the choice down to two options. Military Police, or Infantry within the army, or even another job within the army. I really dont know what to do if i could have some guidance... Thanks.

military police you require a diploma (in canada at least) infantry you need to be able to tie your shoes.

In my opinion, you should go to school for police foundations and then do infantry. Once you have combat experience you will get more respect. Serve your time in the infantry and then switch to military police (3 years in the infantry and you can switch occupations) for military police you'll have to be an MP for 5 years before you can switch.

PS join the reserves NOW you can do it (you're old enough) and they'll pay for university/college and you get to train all summer and get paid well.

There are so many different job in the Army. You won't truly know what they are until you take the ASVAB test. The career fields will depend on your score. The higher the scores, especially your GT (General Technical) score is, the more opportunity you wil have.

Keep focused on your school work, stay out of trouble and graduate high school The Army can be what you make out of it.

When you are 17, go talk to a recruited and get the ball rolling. Good luck to you and am glad to see young people thinking ahead!
