?Baby boy due April 11?

Guest
I'm pretty close to having my baby, and shortly after his birth, (depending on when doc says it's okay) I plan on going out of state for at least a month. I don't know at what age I can enroll him in the DEERS, but I'm trying to figure out (and eventually I'll make it into the tricare office) how I change his PCM so shortly after birth. Has anyone left the state their child was born, when the child was only a week or two old? And how effectively did a change of PCM take place? Any info would be great! And please, if you're unfamiliar with military healthcare and tricare, don't attempt to answer.
The move will be temporary, but by no means short-term. I plan to be out of state for at least a month, and at the most, three months. I don't know about all of the check-ups newborns require, but I know that he'll be due for one, at least, while we're out of state.
