Military housing noise complaint!?

Can someone explain this to me, as I am new to military housing. It's 730 pm on a Saturday night, my husband and I are watching a movie. Mind you, we are respectful people and don't have our surround sound bass speaker anywhere near a neighboring wall, and the volume was up loud enough to hear, not excessive or loud like we were having a party. Yet the MA's show up at our door saying we received a noise complaint. Our neighbor upstairs is a good friend of mine who said she couldn't even hear us. How is it, that at 730 pm, the police can show up on my door saying there's a noise complaint?! I don't understand especially since quiet time doesn't start until 10pm. To me this means they had no ground for showing up. Anyone who lives in military housing can you explain this to me? These people are just jerks anyways, they've called the MA's several times on my upstairs neighbors, whom they do not even share a wall with. I'm just confused and pissed. Thanks!
