military financial advice?husband possibly being discharged! what do u think?

my husband and his dad share the same name besides they're middle names. there was a mix up in some kind of credit and it came back on my husband. I know for sure that it wasn't him. he is about to graduate from tech school and they are telling him that he possibly will be discharged. they said it was financial fraud enlistment. At least that's what he is telling me.> heres the other half of the story.
My husband in I have been having problems. he cheated on me before we got married, while we were dating. we will be married a year in october. we have been together sense we we're 15. we are now 20. after 2 years of lying to me in july i caught him talking to his friend saying not to tell me he slept with that girl. anyways he blamed it on something that I cant say..... use ur imagination. I stayed with him because I love him. Now i'm thinking that he is getting discharged for another reason if he was caught doing something he wasn't supposed to or is illegal. He is in another state at his tech school.not with us so I cannot fully know what he's doing.
what is the chance he is getting discharged for a mess up that wasn't his fault for bills that are not his????
i have done a credit report on him and it came up *also known as (a.k.a) -with his brothers name. so if i can find that out threw freecreditreport.com. then why cant the military right? what do you think he has done to get possibly discharged? Cheated? gone back to the illegal things he was doing and got caught? or other? please tell me what u think!
 
I think you already know the answer to this question but, its not a pleasant thought. The military would not discharge your husband with out sufficient explanation...and the one your husband has given is poor. Credit information is tracked by your social security info. not just your name. If you don't wish to ask anyone about it where you are stationed then you could go online and pay the 15-20 bucks to run a credit report. The report would have listed whatever it is he is being punished for. If its not there, then you pretty much have your answer. Also...isnt there anyone on your base that can talk to you and answer this question in detail.
 
He's lying to you. DEMAND to see his DD-214 if they kick him out. There will be a 3 letter code on it and you can easily look up that code to see the real reason.

There's no way they'll kick him out for a bad credit report until it's been 100% investigated and confirmed as accurate.

First you are mixing up two different things.

One is not related to the other.

Your husband needs to get a copy of all three of his credit reports and dispute the entries that were caused by his father with the same name.

He also needs to tell the military that those debts are his father's and not his. He needs to write to all the creditors and inform them, in writing, that he is not the person responsible for the debts but his father.

It is not financial fraudulent enlistment if those were not his bills. Of course, maybe he withheld some financial obligations of his own. I don't know that and only he does. But, the effort to clear it all up rests with your husband.

Next, you have the possibility of some marital infidelity. If your husband of today was with another girl before you married him then you need to let that go.

However, if he has been with someone else during your marriage you are faced with a decision to forgive him and move on together or each one go their own separate ways.

All you can do is wait it out and see if he and the military can resolve the financial issue while he is at technical school.

If he comes home, then, you both need to find employment and make a civilian life for yourselves.

P.S. I just read your additional details. You can not ask strangers to speculate if your husband has done anything illegal. None of us would know nor would it be right to say so. Maybe if your husband co-signed for credit for his brother than his brother's name might be on his credit report. I know this happens because my son and I share the same name and his name is on my credit report.
 
If you Husband can prove that those credit bills are not his, he will not be discharged. if he can get a copy of his credit report. he may be able to prove it with that or, he can get his father to admit to those bills. He can beat the discharge.
 
There is more to the story then he is telling you. I've got the same name as my father except for my middle name. It's easy tell him to print out a credit report and prove his point. The military investigates things quite well and using the persons, name, SSN, DOB. Now if his dad has the same SSN and DOB then I could see the mix up. But they don't, so all that leaves is that he is guilty of what ever there saying. The guy is obviously holding something from you. I've been in over a decade and know for a fact the military won't make a stupid mistake like that. Anyways that whole story doesn't make any sense. Seriously think about all the information you need just to pull up someones credit report. The gov does that and a lot more to verify someones information, and to ensure they are who they say they are. Just my opinion.
 
If the credit problem was indeed a mix up he should be able to get it straightened out. If they do boot him I wouldn't buy that as the reason.

I hate to see people get divorced but I hate seeing someone getting stuck with a liar and a cheat even more. I don't know..this is just an opinion based on gut instinct, but something doesn't smell right about this. My a** hole detector just pinned.

I would suggest you start to at least develop a contingency plan for escaping this situation.
