military dress blues stolen marine ball is next week help!?

Ok so my car was stolen last Monday and my husbands blues, ribbons, medals, shoes the whole get-up... Im not sure how long we have to wait to get the money from insurance back to pay for them.. the marine corps ball is next week and we have to go to Vegas.. we bought tickets and Ive already paid for the hotel... my question is.. Would it be safe for him to go ahead and get new blues.. we are talking $600-700 for everything.. What happens if my car is recovered with the blues so insurance doesnt pay us back.. thats a lot of money to just throw away.. Another option would be not to go to the mall and just forfeit that money but I really want to go bc we have so little time together as it is.. and its a memorable experience... im at a crossroads with decisions and its frustrating
 
buy the dress uniform, claim it on your insurance, if it's recovered you can most likely return most of it or resell it. if not, you can always just have two sets of dress uniforms and not mention to your company that you recovered one. its fraud, but hey... you pay them thousands for something, right?
