I'm thinking about subscribing, however, I am wondering about 1) Quality/variety of programming, and 2) Repetition of programming?

I watch a fair bit of History Television but, as someone with an interest in Great War history, HT goes to the same well a lot. Comments?

It does get repetitive after you have it for an extended amount of time but it definitely is a good channel if your into the whole history, discovery, natural geographic, type of channels.

You can call and see how long you'd have to keep it for if you added it. Likely at least 30 days, maybe 60. So it may work out pretty cheap to give it a shot for a couple of months.

Military is on Nimiq 2. If you don't already have Nimiq 2, you can get the upgrade for free, as long as you order programming that requires the upgrade.

However, in order for the upgrade to remain free, you would have to commit to keeping the Nimiq 2 programming for one year.

If you have High Definition programming, then you should have Nimiq 2 already.

I finally found that it is on channel 631 and you are correct it is at 82 degrees but on Lyngsat it shows as an HD Channel, is this correct.? It does not show an SD version.

EDIT:

Lyngsat shows 9 channels on transponder #3, all in HD. As this is impossible it must be a typo on that site. The Military Channel is in SD, not HD.

That's right, it's a typo, probably done by somebody who figured all 82 channels are HD.
Military Channel is SD, not HD.
