I am leaving for Marines boot camp in January, I am planing on doing 4 years active and 4 years reserve. While I am active I will be getting my AA degree, I wasn't the best student doing high school, and I wasn't dedicated enough. Dedication and being able to overcome any obstacle in my way are some of the main reasons I joined the Marines As of right now I don't know what I want to be. I don't 'think' I am book smart( hopefully that will change after the discipline I will receive from boot camp and hopefully realize I am book smart) but I do know I have good logic and have great common sense. So today after doing my jury duty and lawyers were talking to me I realized it's a career I would like to pursuit I have always thought about becoming a lawyer or work for the government or business but mostly law. For a person who don't think he is book smart but will read the books and do the homework. How hard will it be for me to be a lawyer? Should I do the reserve or just go to school after my 4 years?
