Miley Cyrus, WTF?

Is she really that good to be presenting an Oscar? I couldnt even hear a word what she was saying! It all came out so rushed. Bad choice IMO..:yawn:
 
Unfortunately she has her teenie fan base (and their money) so I guess that makes her pretty successful.

I've seen her inteviewed a couple of times on UK TV and both times the presenter jokeed about her being annoying and hyper but you could see that they really meant it and couldn't stand having to interview her.

I did like the comments by the Sky studio panel about her dragging her co-presenter into her mistake. She fluffed her lines and then said that they were both nervous and you just saw the look on the other girls face thinking - hey, don't bring me down because to speak too fast to actually read the autocue! :D



I would say the same about that lass from the Twilight films. I saw her at the BAFTAs and thought what a miserable bitch but maybe it was jetlag or an off night. Nope, looked and sounded just as enthusiastic at the OSCARs.


The guy from True Blood was on JR and he said he got the full wrath of all the twilight tweenies when he called the Twilight vampire a pussy :D
 
I found it more irritating that the Horror tribute was introduced by Twilight stars and featured scenes from Twilight...

Fans of Twilight haven't got the first clue about real horror movies, and clearly whoever compiled that tribute doesn't either.
 
I must disagree. I think Twilight is one of the greatest horrors of all time.

Believe me, when you watch the film, you will be screaming throughout. That's assuming you don't tear your own eyes out part way through.

She is about as funny as a heart attack. Another one of the ever growing child stars that is just destined to be a drugged up slut by the time she is 25. Or much like Amanda Bynes forgotten by the masses.
 
I like Miley (got teenagers at home) and Hannah Montana is a good show. But she is nothing like she is on the show in the real world. On the show she is down to earth and funny but that doesn't seem to translate in interviews.

I thought her dress at the Oscars was awful and embarrasing, she should fire her advisers. It's very hard at that age when you realise that and feel bad. (check the way she was standing, hunched shoulders trying to minimise her size)
I also thought she looked like the incredible hulk next to the other girl which probably didn't help.

She was introducing best song which did make sense and so she wasn't out of place. Just that it all went a bit wrong for her.
 
Damn right, us Brits have great taste. We didn't go out and buy any Miley Cyrus rubbish, we just went out and bought a cover of a Miley Cyrus song by some x-factor pleb making that a hit instead.

Hannah Montana is actually pretty funny. My neice watched it round mine once and I was in hysterics. I put it on now whenever I need a silly chuckle.
I think Miley could be a really good comic actress. Though I can't comment on her serious work. When The Last Song comes out, I really do hope she gets the chance and proves to people she has the talent. Because I really like this girl. She's got a voice like medicine and I think she's really funny even in interviews.

What's more. She came out a few months ago and said it's not her job to be a parent. That made me love her all the more :D
