Mileage info on Cars, help please!?

Ok so here is the thing...me and my parents have bad communication mostly because we speak different first languages, but they were able to tell me that there is supposedly a book or list or something that explains the different makes and models of cars and the prices according to mileage. Trying to skip the frustration with figuring out what it might be through them, I thought I'd ask yahoo answers in hopes of having better luck with my car searching journey in hopes of finding this guide.

P.S. Also if you don't know the guide I am specifically looking at a 1998 Toyota Camry V6 engine that is around 3500 dollars...the mileage is unknown to me...Is this a good price?
