For about 2 weeks, I've had this mild but annoying pain. Not really "back" pain as it's not on my spine, but rather, right of my spine on the right back side of my ribcage about halfway up, too high to be kidney pain, and a little towarRAB my right side as well. If I press on it, I can't seem to find tender points or lumps, but granted, it's hard to reach that part of the back yourself!!

My wife thinks she saw a bruise last week but it was faint and I can't figure what I would have done to do it, I do vaguely remeraber backing into something at work, but I'm a klutz so it's hard to pinpoint.

Can anyone think of possible causes? I of course worry I have a tumor growing in there under the ribcage or something.

Your 12 ribs are connected to your thoracic spine (the middle of your back). It could be referred pain from any nuraber of things, like your ribs, gallbladder, or even your spine. If the pain persists I would see a doctor. Sorry I don't have any better answers for you. I do hope you feel better soon.
