Migrating datat from old palm to new palm with messing up my husbands data

Presently have m500. Awaiting arrival of my new T3.

My question...My husband uses m515 for his business stuff and I don't want to mess up HIS files when I transfer mine. Will his files work when I update palm desktop? What is the safest way to make transition?
 
Assuming your both using the Palm Desktop software - install the T3's software, follow the prompts, and when it instructs you to hotsync for the first time be certain you choose the user name for your device and not your husbands. All should be well.


If you'd like a security blanket: Go into the Palm Directory on the PC before add the new Desktop and backup or copy all of the data under his username to another folder called "old user name" or similar fashion and at worst case scenario you'll have to overwrite any corrupted data. This should not occur because the Palm Desktop software is pretty bullet proof but in the even of Hurricane Ivan causing a power failure during the installation of the software, anything might be possible.

Load the software and go, backup to be safe if you desire, and then enjoy the T3. :)
