Might be moving to Japan (Camp Zama - military) in early 2010. What should I expect?

I've read now that Camp Zama is about 25 miles outside of Tokyo. Is it still a really congested area over-flowing with people? Is there housing available on base? What about my dog? Will I have to leave him in the USA? Do many people speak english? Any classes available on base to learn the Japanese language? Confused :/

Yes to all of that except your dog, you will have fun think of the geisha's, sorry good for me.
