Middle School Softball Coaching Tips?

Alright, so I have watched baseball religiously for the past 10 years. I have attended many softball games during my high school years, and now go watch my sister's middle school softball team during games. Well I see a lot of mistakes made, but they are basic, fundamental errors. The head coach knows me as I have told her on occasion things I see the girls could work on.

Well today she asked me to be the head coach for her tomorrow because she will not be in town the rest of the week (family problems). So enter me, a 21 year old guy who is leaving for the Air Force soon, who loves baseball/softball. What would be some coaching tips for me? I have never coached anything formal, but when I play with friends and family in the neighborhood up at the fields, I always have certain strategies I like to play. I would ask the assistant coach for advise, but from the first few games they have played, it is obvious she is just out there because the team "needed" an assistant coach.

So yeah, I ask, what tips/advice could you give me to ensure a smooth, nice day of coaching tomorrow during her game? I know some of the girls, so I feel like I will at least be able to speak with them without them being like "who the hell is this guy?" I don't wanna just stand there with my lips sealed. Should I just encourage them, above all else, and let them know of the mistakes they are making? Thanks.
