i have PCOS and the doctor recently per scribed me metformin (1500 mg at night). i am having side effect, a little bit of nausea, headaches (but they are subsiding), and dizziness. But my biggest problem is weakness and tiredness. my 1st question is do these side effects subside?? i live a pretty active lifestyle and it is bringing me way down.
i started the south beach diet, doctor said it was good for me. i have always eaten healthy because i have struggled with my weight because of what i now know was the PCOS. but the food (which is not a big change from my norm) just seems repulsive to me, is this the medicine??
also i am a college student and lets just say i don't have the greatest schedule or lifestyle at this time. alcohol is my last question?? is it safe?? how much?? how will it effect me?? i haven't drank at all since i started the metformin because i haven't felt well and because i'm kinda scared.
finally, i'm trying to lose weight and i think i have(unhealthy relationship with weight so i don't own a scale) but is it the medicine also helping me??
if anyone could help he that would be great, sorry its so much!!!
