Messages on phone vs memory card

Not sure if this is just a S60v3 or perhaps a n73 issue but if I set messages to store on the memory card messaging is agonizingly slow. I'm using a Transcend 2GB Mini Secure Digital Card. Anyone else seen or having this issue as well?
 
Yeah ... I have done it to My N73...I copied all the messages that were on the phone memory into the memory card, and as i did that I noticed that the opening of messages whether to write or to read (compose, inbox, sent...etc) has become a bit slower...Frankly, I regret copying them into phone memory...I mean it isn't that big deal to be afraid to burden your phone memory, but i tried for days to copy the messages back to phone but in vain, or i couldn'y figure out how to do it...so i appreciate any ideas...
but for a girlfriend...consider it this way, you can hide your messages just by changing the sms memory choice and all your messages are hidden...
 
I also ran into that hickup. With S60v1 & v2 phones you could always delete the \system\mail folder on either the phone or the memory card and you'd be set. With S60v3 that's not so easy. I found the mail folder on the memory card but only when I use my memory card reader. It was located at e:\Private\\Mail2 The problem of course is with the current file managers for v3 phones you can't see these Hex system generated folders.
