My friend is the second owner of a 1994 Mercury Villager with 138,000. We plan to do a tune-up on it like the spark plugs. When we pull the plugs, they where Bosch Super. My though is because it is a Ford, it uses either Motorcraft or Autolite. But I recall it is the sister van of the Nissan Quest and borrowed the Nissan VG30 engine. That uses the NGK or Denso plugs.
So which plug should we use? He wants to use Autolite Copper. Is that okay for a Nissan engine?
Also, how much resistance is too much for ignition wires? It is showing 7-11 kohm.
Working on timing belt, pain in the neck...
