M melbow35 New member Jan 19, 2011 #1 I was heating up oil for frying chicken and I heard a pop and sure enough the thermometer broke I got out the Mercury and and glass and disposed of it. The Mercury didn't spread out because it was in oil. How do I wash the cast iron pan?
