My car died while driving since the fuel was low Iand it act like it was out I add some and and stp just in case the gas has trash in it and now it tries to crank but when you press the pedal to give some gas to help it start all the way it does nathing. what do you think it might be?
Thank you all so much I all give it try prayerfull it works .
I just wanted to say thanks for the advice it was sucking trash in the motor it is running again so thank you for the advice

since you let it practically run out of gas it probably picked up dirt and rust particles that were laying in the gas tank...the fuel filter is probably plugged..
anytime you own a fuel injected car you shouldnt let it get past 1/4 tank..it will pick up junk in the tank and really mess up the injectors..
have someone take the fuel filter off and either clean it or replace it..

There could be a few things here that are causing the problem. The 2 most common are fuel pump and or Fuel Relay. another could be a bad cam position or crank sensors These sensors tell the computer the relation of the of the cam and crank shaft so the computer knows when to send the spark to the plug. Also on fuel injected engines, the only thing the throttle controls is how far the throttle plate moves, It does nothing as far as how much fuel enters in to the engine. That is all controlled by the computer. I suspect that your mechanic will find the problem in the fuel system or ignition system. If it's a relay, it should not run more then $120 for the repair, that includes the labor. If it's a fuel pump or sensors, expect around $500 or more.

Cuddles is right. It's either that or you have a vapor lock in the fuel line.
After changing the fuel filter, remove the supply line from a spot as close to the motor as you can see. (right at the fuel rails is best) Then turn the key on and let the fuel pump throw some fuel out into a cup or something then re attach the line. Then bleed the fuel rails by removing the cap on the auxiliary port. (looks just like air stem on a bicycle wheel).
Again turn on the key and let it purge the air just like letting the air out of a tire. After that the car should start.
