Mercury poisoning? (Experts only please)?

Today i was in my science lab and i opened a bottle of mercury to look at it, without knowing that the mercury had produced vapor. I do not know if i inhaled any or not, but I am utterly terrified that i did. What are the immediate symptoms of mercury poisoning and is there any way that i could stop it once i have it? Please experts only i need to know for sure
