i hit some nice mud puddles the past few days. deep ones that pretty much covered my car in mud (including the under the hood components). I washed my car by hand. The exterior. Then drove it about 15miles. and my check engine light came on. This is about 3 hours after i hit the last mud puddle. Could it be because the solenoid is covered by dried mud/ dirt or is the solenoid completely busted? if so, is it really gunna cost $70 for a new purge solenoid!?
mercury Cougar OBD code P0443, would I get this if the solenoid is extremely muddy?
