mercury 25 hp 2 stroke not taking fuel.?

it is a mid 90s model motor that has always run just fine. Yesterday i got to were it would accept gas into the carb. All the lines up to it were free and supplied gas fine. Its almost like there was something stuck in the pump. Im not a carb person but could figure out how to fix it if someone could point me in the right direction. I will be happy to provide more details if needed. thanks
k, i use this boat daily to duck hunt out of so i wouldnt be an issue of old nasty gas.
 
Try taking the float bowl off the bottom of the carb. Then squeeze the primer bulb on the fuel line. Fuel should come out of the needle valve. If not trace it back, could be the fuel pump, or filter.
