MEPS wound question and Navy rates inquiry...?

Sort of a double question. Sort of.

One, I currently have a beat up knee with a few moderately bad scrapes that just sort of closed. They're not totally healed and they still look kind of gnarly. Slightly worried about infection but only because I'm paranoid. They very likely will not be healed by the time I visit MEPS, and may look gnarly then as well. There aren't any issues with actual usage of the knee, its just a flesh wound, but this worries me for... some reason. Full flexibility and the like. Will this be a problem? No other medical issues but low arches, not like that is disqualifying anyway. Recruiter is on vacation for Christmas so I can't ask him.

Also, I just took the ASVAB prior to actually going to MEPS, scored okay (98 AFQT), and did well in all the line sections except for Auto&Shop and the Electronics Section. I have an open mind when it comes to jobs, and I would appreciate if you might include some interesting Navy rates with your answer about the medical so that I may have some idea when I get to MEPS and see whats available to me. It'd be nice to see something that sounded very interesting pop up and be able to recognize it.

Thanks.
Thanks for the advice. I don't really want to chance getting DQ'd or something over some stupid cuts... but I also got conflicting information so far from what looks like two knowledgeable people. Its not like seeping, its just not quite 'right'.

Also Tridgerat, your job sounds pretty great.
Duck walk is no issue. Man I feel ridiculous after doing that for 5 minutes, though.
