I am trying to join the Air Force and I am worried about MEPS. When I was 11 or 12 I was diagnosed with two things. A minor case of scoliosis that has Never effected me in any way and a minor case of ADD, which I believe was a misdiagnoses or I have grown out of. I have not taken medication for it in years and I can focus just as well as anyone.
I agree with many of you and I believe that honesty and honor are values I want to show, although I fear these will disqualify me even though they will not effect my performance in any way.
I currently do not have medical insurance, so to get re diagnosed will cost a lot of money.
*I am also colorblind, but I didn't think they could disqualify me for that.
What do you experts recommend I do? If I still have scoliosis they should be able to find it if they feel my spine during the physical, but I believe it has corrected itself, as the doctor predicted long ago. As for ADD, I don't have it, but my records say I do.
I thought my medical records belonged to me, shouldn't I be able to do with them what I please? My doctors office said I cannot view them unless the office manager is there and she won't be there till Monday. I guess I can wait, but its just a waste of my time to be limited by another persons work schedule.
