Mental health waiver for US army.?

I am a 19 almost 20 year old college student for medical. i am talking to a recruiter about joining and being apart of my school's ROTC program to become a officer. However beacues i want no issues i did tell them that i had a attempted suicide in 2001 (when i was 12 years old) I was never on any medication but i was put into the hospital as a precaution to supervise me for 2 days. When i got out i took no medications nor did i ever have any other issues or problems concerning health mental or physical. The teachers and recruiter are very positive about the entire situation they are talking like a waiver would be no issue sense i am obviously not suicidal. They pretty much said once they send me to their psychotherapist doctor and i took a mental evaluation and if i passed then i should be perfectly fine. and there is no reason why i SHOULDNT pass because i have no mental health issues so any test given i should pass.

I am not only a medical student for my masters, but also went to automotive school for my AA. I really hope to be able to obtain a waiver, but it seems that it may have NEVER been done before, ive been googling with no results lol. I know its a DQ but i dont think its IMPOSSIBLE sense its on a case by case basis..so may i have a chance
mind you i was never on any medications, nor did i ever have any other history of mental problems or anything of that sort

your opinion? and your experience would be nice thank you in advance! also do you think i may get in? i want to retire from the army... and i didnt want to die, it was honestly a cry for attention at 12 and i took 4 aspirin...
