Alright, I've been doing research on the menstruation Cycle and how it lasts for 28 days more or less (and the last day of bleeding marks the end of that cycle) and the ovulation phase of it. Apparently it takes place 12 days after your previous cycle (I think) along with the release of the egg then it dissolves after 12-24 hours if not fertilized. I have a little scenario.
A girl's the last day of bleeding on Dec. 27th
She has sex on Jan. 5th
Does that mean there was no egg to fertilize and that her ovulation phase shouldn't start until Jan. 10th or Jan. 14th (12-16 days later)? Because I know after Dec. 27th, it takes longer than 8 days to drop an egg before Jan. 5th. >.> I just wanted to know if it the egg-drop would have been somewhere after Jan. 5th.
Don't judge me for not knowing much about the cycle, please!!
This is all so confusing but by 'period' I'm assuming you mean when the bleeding first starts? If so then I started bleeding on Dec. 25th and stopped pm the 27th. My periods usually last 3 days only. Hope that helps with the calculations a bit.
