Men should be allowed to have long hair in the military after boot camp is over. ?

Men should be allowed to have long hair in the military after they are through with boot camp. If females are allowed to have long hair so should the males. It is sex-est to say females can but males can't. When I was stationed in Hawaii, females were given an honerable discharge for being basically nothing more than a civilian. I have nothing against females, I think they are awsome. I just wish there were more equal rights for men and woman in the armed forces. If being bald makes one tough, than lets have the females shave their hair bald. If a male is undiciplined for having long hair than a female should be considered undiciplined for having long hair. the military should change their policy to allow a male after boot camp and schooling is over to have long hair. I would put more detail into this argument, but limitid space. what do you think?
 
The military haircut is not a fashion statement. The military goes into all kinds of environments. Long hair can allow all sorts of vermin to live in it. The military has short hair for good hygeine.
 
Long hair is a detriment in hand to hand combat as well as weapons firing. The care that is given to grooming cuts into the on duty cycle of a soldier which is 24HRS. In rugged Tick infested lands it is a health hazzard
 
The military openly has sexual discrimination.. A few examples of this: Females don't need to shave their head in boot camp, they have different physical fitness standards than males, a few others I can't remember. But the military is open about this. They don't try to hide it.

If it wasn't discriminatory to the separate genders, they would be the same. But the REQUIREMENTS are different for males and females. That is the definition of discrimination. Again, the military isn't required to be equal to both sexes.. Otherwise the females will start to be REQUIRED to shave their heads in boot camp.

When a male soldier joins the military, one of the first things they will encounter is the “buzz cut”. At first, some men may be hesitant to go in and get their hair cut. If anyone remembers the rock drama “Hair” they will remember how for some people long hair is their glory and the thought of shaving their heads is unbearable.

Are you seriously a dumbshit? Its the fucking military! They keep everyone as uniformed as possible! Its easier to cut a mans hair short because of their type of hair.
 
My husband is in the Marines and he feels the same way, that if women can have long hair, why can't he? He thinks they should have to shave their heads, more than him being able to grow his out, though. as do most of his buddies, even the female ones, well the females think that the men should have long hair, not the women shave theirs......
But think about it, if all the men could just have whatever haircut they wanted, well that would look very sloppy, at least the women have to wear theirs up when they are on duty........
