Or do you consider it harmless satire?
The list goes on of shows with idiotic, ineffectual, and childish dads paired with competent wives: Malcolm in the Middle, Everybody Loves Raymond, According to Jim...can y'all think of others?
This could be taken three ways:
1.) It's meant to be funny because "it's so ironic that a man would be portrayed as stupid and childish when clearly women are these things"
2.) It's socially acceptable to portray fathers/family men as idiots
3.) It's just good satire!
**I personally only watched The Simpson's and Family Guy, and sexist or not they're funny.
And I'm leaving alone the fact that most of the women in these shows either are, or are meant to be FAR more attractive than their husbands.
You try to let these "anti-feminists" defend their point of view, a point I have seen made in this forum, and two tell you only a woman would be so selfish as to think about this!
Wow.
Me and my simple-minded empathy!
