So I work for a college athletic department as a graduate assistant. I was previously an intern at my undergraduate and now getting my masters while working as a GA. I know the sports industry is a "male-oriented industry" even though women are working their way in. As an intern I excelled, my previous boss has told me I am very talented and I believe my work is good. Heck, I even increased a club membership sales by 10% this year. BUT I feel like one of the boys I work with is trying to knock me down. I am not really sure how to handle this situation. He doesn't communicate with me at events and if he does it is a "yes" "no" "don't worry about it". I will call and he'll hang up on me. He tries to run my promotions at events while I am actually in the action of doing the promotion. He barely talks to me and before season started we were great friends and I'm not sure if he is jealous? If its because I am a girl working in sports? or what!
I need some advice here. I try to talk to him but whatever I ask him he tries to say it as simple as he can.
