Tyler Hawkins(Remember Me)-played by Robert Pattinson: such an amazing character and amazingly acted...Tyler was one of those characters that was real and just all around memorable!

Sweeney Todd-Johnny Depp did an amazing job! one of my favorite johnny characters ever!

Harry Potter-the one that started it all..Dan Radcliffe always does an awesome job!!!

Sam-Johnny Depp stole the show as Sam in Benny and Joon...he was outstanding, funny, and of course memborable!

The three main characters from the Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. They all stole each scene they were in and I didn't want the movie to stop they were so strong in their roles.

Leo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as Jack and Rose in Titanic.

I agree! Heath was amazing. I'm glad they didn't replace him with another actor for the end. Heath totally deserved the Oscar and the Golden Globe he won. R.I.P.

Dobby from the Harry Potter books. I still cry whenever I read what happened to his character in the last book. He's the hero.

I think the movie Dirty Dancing will always be memorable....

 I wish I had her strength. And what she did for Johnny was amazing.

There are so many fantastic characters to mention, and I'm drawing a blank now that I want to list some, but here are a few, some already mentioned, that I found to be memorable:

Hannibal Lecter [Anthony Hopkins] (Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon, Hannibal Rising)
Dolores Claiborne [Kathy Bates] (Dolores Claiborne)
Annie Wilkes [Kathy Bates] (Misery)
Ghost Face (Scream Movies)
Danielle [Drew Barrymore] (Ever After: A Cinderella Story)
Josie Geller [Drew Barrymore] (Never Been Kissed)
Wednesday Adams [Christina Ricci] (The Adam's Family)
Blade [Wesley Snipes] (Blade Trilogy)
Aragorn [Viggo Mortensen] (The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy)
Gandalf [Ian McKellan] (The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy)
Baby [Jennifer Grey] (Dirty Dancing)
Beatrix Kiddo [Uma Thurman] (Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2)
Morpheus [Laurence Fishburne] (The Matrix Trilogy)
Elizabeth [Cate Blanchett] (Elizabeth and Elizabeth: The Golden Age)

Just to name a few....

I have more...but I didn't want to keep going and going and going....;)

ETA:

I had to add this one:

Arnie Grape [Leonardo DiCaprio] (What's Eating Gilbert Grape?)

ahh you all listed the ones i was gonna lol but i got some

Kevin Bacon in footloose , dancing in the train station

christian bale newsies , singing in the newsies and so many other scence

ewan mcgregor in trainspotting , ehm to hard to choose one scene cus hes just brilliant in em all

June Carter. She was strong. I love that she gave Johnny such a hard time while she was in love herself. She really stood her ground until he got better.

Agreed. Jenny from Forrest Gump is memorable for me because she trying to escape and all she found was hurt and illness. I'm always so happy for her when she's with Forrest being healthy and being taken care of by someone who loves her truly.

People have mentioned Tyler Durden from Fight Club, but I think that Marla Singer stole the show. :)

I agree with you, and also the one who mentioned GWTW. Both characters are awsome in their own way. (Scarlett was ahead of her time (IMO), and Baby changed Johnny for the better (also IMO.)

Oh, and when Reese Witherspoon played June Carter Cash in Walk the Line. She rocked that role.

I have to add Matthew Broderick for Ferris Buellers Day Off and David Bowie for Labyrinth. I love those two movies and I can't believe I forgot to name them.
Also probably Hugh Jackman for his role as Wolverine in X-Men.

Ellen Burstyn and Verbal, I agree soooo much!

Wow, that's dedication, but like you said, he nailed it. One of the best characters ever he created along with Nolan.

Robin Wright Penn in Forrest Gump. Jenny was such a tragic character :(
Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump.
Vivien Leigh in Gone With The Wind
Alicia Silverstone in Clueless

"francis falls" and "blake falls"......in 'twin falls idaho'....the first film by the polish brothers, in a trilogy, that deals with lonliness in america.....it's about siamese twins and hooker.....it's tag line is: a different kind of love story........

"esther" in 'dans ma peau' (aka in my skin).....a film from france....in french with english subtitles.....the film tells the story a young woman's descent into self-mutilation and self-cannabilism......

i could name more...but those characters stand out for some reason......great thread by the way.....

Abraham Whistler, Blade Trilogy. Aside from Blade, of course, the most memorable parts were his one liners.

Vazquez, Aliens. I love the tough females in movies.

Eli, The Girl Next Door. Elisha,... mmm, but Eli made this movie the laughfest it was.

Frank, Old School. Not a huge Will Ferrell fan at all, but i liked most of his scenes in his movie.

Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable in Gone with the wind

James Stewart as George Bailey in It's a wonderful life

Jack Lemmon in Some like it hot

John Malkovich in Dangerous Liaisons

Clint Eastwood as 'Dirty' Harry.

Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard

Ben Kingsley in House of shadows and fog

Ellen Burstyn in Requiem for a dream

Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver

Joe Pesci in Goodfellas

So many, but those are the ones that came to my mind right now.
