I have a sick platy, and I do not have a hospital tank, so I can not quarantine her. She had babies 3 weeks ago. They are in the same tank as mom. Is it safe for me to put melafix in the tank when I have baby fish?
It is totally safe for fry.All of my fry caught fin rot from one of the adults in the tank and I knew from experience that Quick Cure is too strong for fry so I checked on the Melafix web site and it said that this medication was fine for fry. My fry were all better within a week ( I lost 2 out of 33). Read the directions carefully and you should be fine.
