I'm going with my school to meet with state lawmakers and express my concerns and any ideas I have regarding public education.

Although the trip is still a while from now, I was trying to think of some questions I would ask state policy makers as well as ideas I could give to improve public education. But I'm coming up blank. Any ideas?

Thanks.

There must be some things on your mind that you can think of where your state needs improvement. Are Special Education and Regular Education funds mixed and then the money just spent ? How do they keep the funds from not being used on the wrong projects ? Do the kids with special needs get the funding the federal government supplies or does it go to other things ? How do they account for all funds given - you probably can get a copy of their 'budget' and come up with a bunch of questions to ask. I am a Special Education Advocate so most of what I gave you is in regards to that - but I think that on either side of the fence parents and students should be concerned that funding is properly spent.
Good Luck,
Michael
