So I have IBS and I have tried several medications which do not seem to do much. Then I did some research on marijuana medication for IBS, and I found that almost all IBS patients who smoked marijuana had much less IBS symptoms. So being me, as a former marijuana user, I ask my friend to medicated me with some, and surprisingly enough, I found the symptoms to be much less severe.
Because I have been on a constant search for the right IBS medication, which most of them are not very effective and not to mention terrible side effects, I think it would be a good idea to inform my doctor about using Cannabis medication instead.
My question is, how should I ask him about it? I don't want to make it seem as if I am just trying to be another person asking for a green card so I can get high. I am serious about it and I believe that medical marijuana is a great medicine for several medical condition. And I also want to tell him that I feel sketched out taking medicine that is so chemically artificial like the ones I'm taking which have side effects. I personally have no bad side effects when using marijuana.
How should I go about informing him?
I live in Washington State so I have a pretty high chance
