I had a woman tell me that "all people can afford health insurance if they just try harder" basically. She said that she does not want to pay for other peoples pregnancies/babies who are lazy and dont have a job and all that....needless today say I was upset because (I am on medicaid)i was a junior in college, on my parents insurance, but had to get medicaid to cover the rest of my pregnancy/baby bc I decided to stay at home and take care of my son- and go to school, and my now husband works full time but does not have a college degree so makes a modest living. we do ok but money is definately too tight to buy healt insurance on our own. We have car payment, we live in a trailer, and have no cc debt, the only debt we have is my student loans (per i got pregnant during mid semester and had to take a semester off) and had to pay them back. Do you believe that this is true that it should be every family for themselves or do you believe that when you need help you should get it?
and what if i want to have another baby? should I feel guilty for going on medicaid again?
