I'm doing a media assignment, and one of the tasks is to create a montage of pictures/footage about a certain topic (eg. anorexia, obesity, abortion etc etc), with a piece of music that helps persuade the viewer, being powerful at the same time.
If any of you have seen 'Bowling For Columbine", the doco by Michael Moore, he has a montage of violent events, while the song "what a wonderful world" is playing. I think that was great, a meaningful song being used while something terrible was happening, it's a great hint of sarcasm.
I've spent ages looking for a meaningful song, but haven't had any luck finding one I think is in terms of being persuasive and powerful.
Can anyone help? just name some songs?
Thanks a lot!
