I bid $3500 for a 2000 honda civic lx (sedan) on ebay. It looks well taken
care of, but that's all I can tell.

I made the mistake of buying the carfax report AFTER I bid. Come to find out its been in 4 accidents all with the SAME OWNER.

Carfax says 1st accident was "very minor" - left side impact - 2004

2nd accident was "Involving right front impact with another motor vehicle " - 2005

3rd accident in 2006 was "Involving rear impact
with another motor vehicle
Minor/Moderate damage reported"

4th accident 12/01/2008 - Involving right side impact
with another motor vehicle
Moderate damage reported

Is $3400 too much for this? Should I pray that someone outbids me?

What are your thoughts? I'm looking for answers from auto mechanics or people who are KNOWLEDGEABLE with cars. No offense but I don't want opinions from people who are not educated in this area (i have already gotten plenty).

Thanks!
@ Burberry Clearly you don't know what you're talking about. This is why I'd like people experienced to answer.

Yes you did pay too much for it. My friend bought a year 1993 Honda Accord with a clean title for $400, it had about 120k mileage on it and ran perfectly fine.

Which one would you rather have? Almost any car involved in 4 accidents would decrease the value by like 80%. So a Honda? I would've offered him 500$ at most.
